Our platform includes a transcoding engine able to accept most video and image formats. However, some size restrictions apply and for best quality output, the following guidelines should be respected.
Content Best Practices
When working with content, keep in mind:
1. Active display area of the Canvas
2. Supported file format for content
3. Minimum required resolution for content
4. Orientation of the Canvas
Please note that while Videri Canvases can stream content, we cannot guarantee playback and
sync for URLs. For the best content experience, we recommend only scheduling content that
has been properly ingested into the cloud.

A Wall is a group of Canvases that function in tandem to act as a video wall.
Content synchronization
The values in all tables in this section were measured after the RMS value of error on ntpd was
under 1ms using Wi-Fi within the operating parameters described in Chapter 1.

Sync tolerance
The system currently supports frame-level accuracy for multiple screens showing videos. Sync
tolerance for videos is 30ms ± 7ms.

Additional bandwidth-related parameters to consider:

| Jitter | Packet jitter over 500ms on a normal distribution will produce ± 15ms desync between Canvases. This will cause a delay of approximately 1 frame. |

Sizing
- Onboard Storage: On DPC3xx based hardware, there is approximately 12 GB usable capacity for 16Gb models and 28 GB usable for 32 GB models. On DPC4xx based models, there is 10GB usable capacity on 16GB models and 58GB usable on 64GB models. Please refer to the Videri Model description to find out which DPC revision is present in your equipment.
- Storage Usage: The installed application plus associated data should not exceed 500 MB of persistent storage. Note that the AdApp specifications document covers the requirements and limitations related to Application type content
- Memory Usage: Application memory usage should not exceed 60 MB.
Content Guidelines
Ingested video content should follow the specifications below. Additional formats are supported by the ingestion engine as outlined in the next section but not recommended.
- MP4 container format
- 1080p H.264 Main Profile @ 30fps, no B-Frame,
- Total Video bitrate no higher than 30000 Kbps, constant bitrate
- Sound:
- AAC 22khz stereo @ 112kbps.
- Constant bitrate or variable bitrate are supported

Although the resolution and Frame rate is well in the parameters, the Total Video bitrate is almost double the accepted value. This could lead to video content to stop playing or to play back to be inconsistent. It is recommend to lower the bitrate before ingesting the video file in the Videri CMS.
