NOTE: A Wall is a group of Canvases that work together as a unified video wall. The easiest way to create a Wall is to use the Add a Wall feature in The Videri Mobile App. However, the mobile app can only be used to create Walls of seven (7) Canvases or less. To create Walls composed of more than six (6) Canvases, you’ll need to use Orchestration Studio. Because creating Walls requires a high level of technical accuracy, we highly recommend contacting support for assistance. |
Accessing Orchestration Studio
WARNING: You can only assign Canvases to Walls that are in the same Workspace. Before creating a Wall, ensure that you have selected the right Workspace in the top appbar. |
To open Orchestration Studio:
- Click "Walls" in the left sidebar to see your list of Walls.
- Click "Create new Wall".

Adding and Positioning Canvases Properly
You can add as many Canvases to the Wall layout as needed. To add a Canvas, select the appropriate model from the left sidebar.
"Zeroing Out" Wall starting point
To start, we recommend "zeroing out" the Wall layout. This means placing the uppermost, leftmost corner of the Wall layout at X:0, Y:0. Then, this Canvas can be used as a reference point for the positioning of all other Canvases.
To zero out the Wall starting point:
- Click on the Canvas with the uppermost, leftmost corner of your installation to select it.
- In the right sidebar, click into the input fields for X and Y and set the values to "0".
Accurately positioning other Canvases
To accurately recreate the real-world Wall installation, you will need to use the reference Canvas to position other Canvases with the appropriate X and Y values. For all Canvases, the X and Y values correspond to the location of the upper left corner of the Canvas, regardless of orientation.
To position additional Canvases:
- With the reference Canvas selected, make note of the W (width) and H (height) values of the Canvas (found on the right side of the screen, under the 'Position' tab).
- Click on another Canvas to view it's positioning details.
- To position the Canvas on the horizontal (Y-axis), enter the appropriate value in the Y field.
[Example 1] If the Canvas is installed level to the top of the reference Canvas, then the Y value will be "0".
[Example 2] If the Canvas is installed 2 inches below the top of the reference Canvas, then the Y value with be "2".
[Example 3] If the Canvas is installed 2 inches above the top of the reference Canvas, then the Y value will be "-2".
- To position the Canvas on the vertical (X-axis), enter the appropriate value in the X field. To find the value of X, add the distance between the right side of the reference Canvas and the left side of the second Canvas to the W value of the reference Canvas.
[Example] In this guide, the W value of the reference Canvas is 24.92 (as seen in Step 12 above). If the target Canvas is installed 2 inches to the right of the reference Canvas, then the X value will be "26.92" (2 inches + 24.92 inches).
TIP: The calculation described above for the horizontal and vertical positioning of Canvases can be used to calculate the positioning of all other Canvases, using the more recently positioned Canvas as a reference point. [Example] Consider that the second Canvas (as described above) is positioned at X: 26.92, Y: 0. To position a third Canvas that is installed 2 inches below Canvas 2, you would set the Y value to "2". To position a third Canvas that is installed 2 inches to the right of Canvas 2, you would add together the distance between the two Canvases, the X value of Canvas 2, and the W value of Canvas 2 for an X value of "50.94" (2 in + 26.92 in + 22.02 in). |
Assigning Canvases to the Wall Layout
WARNING: Content cannot be scheduled to a Wall until Canvases are assigned to it. Until a Canvas is assigned, all Canvas in the layout are placeholders. |
To assign Canvases to placeholders:
- Click on a Canvas placeholder to select it.
- Click on the "Canvases" tab in the right sidebar.
- Click in the 'Assign Canvas' field to see a list of Canvases in the current Workspace. You can also type in the field to search for Canvases.
- Click on a Canvas from the list to assign it.
Saving the Wall Layout
WARNING: You must save the Wall layout before leaving the page or your changes will be lost. |
- Click the save icon in the upper right corner of the screen to save the layout.
