Overview
This release introduces a new Roles & Permissions system that gives organizations greater control over user access and responsibilities within their account. Admins can now create custom roles tailored to their team’s structure and assign specific permissions for different areas of the platform.
This update allows teams to:
Align access controls with operational workflows.
Strengthen security and accountability across large deployments.
Simplify onboarding through standardized, role-based permissions.
What's New
Create and manage custom roles directly from the 'Roles' section within the Users page.
Assign fine-grained permissions for features like device management, asset management, schedule management, and metadata management.
Duplicate or edit roles easily as your organization evolves.
Gain improved visibility into each user’s access level.
Introducing system roles (System Admin, Default User, Operator, and Content Manager) which serve as predefined templates for common user types.
What’s Changing
The legacy Operator and Content Manager roles are being deprecated.
Users currently assigned to these roles will retain their existing permissions, ensuring no disruption to access or workflows.
