Overview
If you see the message “This device has been deactivated due to an expired or inactive license” in the Videri Portal, the device’s software license has been suspended by a Videri account administrator. This is typically related to a billing or contract issue.
What This Means
When a device has been deactivated, the device remains powered on, but content delivery is paused. While the license is suspended:
- The device displays only the Videri logo.
- New content cannot be scheduled to the device.
- The device is unavailable for selection or management via Portal3 or the Videri Mobile app.
- The device is not findable via Bluetooth using the Videri Mobile app.
What To Do
Contact your Videri account representative or Videri Support to resolve the licensing issue. When reaching out, provide the following:
- Device serial number (SN) shown in the message
- Account or company name
Once the license is reactivated, the device will automatically resume normal operation. Scheduled content will begin displaying again without any additional action.
For more information about licensing, see About Device Licenses.
