Defining a Brightness Schedule for a Canvas – VIDERI Support Portal

You can configure the Canvas brightness schedule to turn your display off (or change the brightness of your display) at different times of the day or on different days of the week. The new schedule interface is designed to replicate the events schedule.

To define a brightness schedule:

Single canvas:

Click on "Canvases" in the left sidebar to see your list of Canvases.
Click on the target Canvas to open the Canvas drawer.
Click the "Advanced Settings" button in the top right corner of the Canvas drawer.
Click the "Display Settings" tab under the Canvas name.
Click the "Add brightness schedule" button, located in the right of the 'Brightness settings' section.
Use the slider to adjust the display to your desired brightness. To set the display off, drag the slider to 0%.
Click on the clock icon and the calendar icon to select the start and the end date of the schedule availability.
Click in the "Hour parting" selection box to enable the reoccurrence time.
Set the start and end time for the defined brightness reoccurrence of the selected brightness level.
Click on the "plus" sign if you want to add more than one timeframe for the selected brightness level.
Click "Save Schedule".
Verify that the Brightness schedule toggle is Active.

NOTE: Daily frequency is selected by default, for any other frequencies, selected from the drop-down list.

Weekly frequency allows for the selection of the days of the week when the brightness schedule will be enabled.

Monthly frequency allows for the selection of the days of the month when the brightness schedule will be enabled.

Multiple Schedules: you can add more than one schedule per canvas, for different brightness intensity.

if there are conflicts with multiple schedules added, then the Canvas will choose the most recently added one.

Batch brightness schedule updates:

From the Canvas list view, you can now create the same schedule updates for multiple canvases

Select the canvases you want to update or create new schedule update,
From Actions selector, select "Add brightness schedule",
This will open the same brightness schedule window as illustrated above,
Follow the same process as above to set the brightness schedule for multiple canvases,
Save Schedule to complete the process,
Verify that the schedule has been created by navigating in each canvas, Advance Settings > Display Settings,
Make sure the Brightness schedule toggle is Active.

To activate the backlight schedule in batch, please run the batch command: enable_brightness_schedule:=true

To disable the brightness schedule: enable_brightness_schedule:=false

To Clear all schedules, use the "Clear brightness schedules" option available in the batch actions drop-down

Delete or Edit existing Schedules

Select the desired canvas Advance Settings > Display Settings.

Click on the Edit button to modify an existing schedule.
