Scheduling URLs

Aside from scheduling assets and playlists, you can also schedule URLs to Canvases and Walls.

URLs can be scheduled from the Schedule page. There are 3 ways to schedule URLs from the Schedule page:

1. Creating a new event without selecting hardware first.
2. Creating a new event for all visible devices on the screen.
3. Creating a new event for only one of the visible devices on the screen.

Schedule a URL Without Selecting Hardware

To schedule a URL without first selecting hardware:

1. Click “Schedule” in the left sidebar to navigate to the Schedule page.
2. Click the “New Event” button, located to the right of the “Schedule” title.
3. Click on the “URL” tab.
4. Input the target URL, including the scheme/protocol and subdomain (e.g., https://www.videri.com).
5. Click “Add”.

6. On the left side, configure event details as needed:

   NOTE: By default, URLs that are scheduled to Canvases will have a per-pass duration of 15 seconds. In other words, a URL will play for 15 seconds each time it is passed in the schedule. However, you can modify the play duration of the URL, if needed.

   NOTE: By default, a URL will be added to the schedule starting on the day it is scheduled and will run without expiration. However, you can specify a start date and time, and an expiration date and time. The URL will only be played by Canvases during this time period.

    

   • To change the per-pass duration of the event, click into the ‘Duration’ field and input a new duration.

   • To change the start date and time of the event, enter a new date and time in the ‘Schedule between’ field.

   • To change the end date and time of the event, enter a new date and time in the ‘and’ field.

7. On the right side, select the target Canvas(es) or Wall(s).

8. Click the “Save & Publish” button in the top right corner of the screen.

Schedule a URL for All Visible Hardware

To schedule a URL for all selected hardware on the Schedule page:

1. Click “Schedule” in the left sidebar to navigate to the Schedule page.
2. Click the “Hardware Selection” button, located to the right of the “Schedule” title.
3. Select the target Canvas(es) or Wall(s).
4. Click the “Add” button in the lower right corner of the screen to close the hardware selector.
5. Click the “New Event” button, located to the right of the “Schedule” title.
6. Click on the “URL” tab.
7. Input the target URL, including the scheme/protocol and subdomain (e.g., https://www.videri.com).
8. Click “Add”.

9. On the left side, configure event details as needed:

10. Click the “Save & Publish” button in the top right corner of the screen.

Schedule a URL to a Single Canvas or Wall Schedule

To schedule content to one of multiple visible schedules on the Schedule page:

1. For the target device, click the + button in the lower right-hand corner of the schedule.
2. Click on the “URL” tab.
3. Input the target URL, including the scheme/protocol and subdomain (e.g., https://www.videri.com).
4. Click “Add”.

5. On the left side, configure event details as needed:
