If there are any observable color differences between your Videri Spark Canvases, you can restore color calibration settings by doing the following:
-
Ensure Canvases are running firmware build 1.3.0 or higher. You can check the firmware build by navigating to the Firmware & APKs tab in the Canvas Advanced Settings. For guidance on how to check firmware build, see Checking Canvas Firmware Version.
-
Reset Canvas color LUT. To reset the LUT:
- Click "Canvases" in the left sidebar to see your list of Canvases.
- Use the checkboxes in the Canvas list to select the devices for which you'd like to reset LUT tables.
- Click the "Actions" button, located in the top right, under the searchbar.
- Click "Command terminal".
- Type the following command into the command terminal:
reset_color_table:=true
.
You should see the following response:Color table has been reset. Gamma has been reset to 1.3. FactoryService.resetColor done. Lut reset: /storage/emulated/0/Download/luts/lut.lut applied.
NOTE: The lut.lut file will depend on what Spark model you are using. As long as the response isn’t an error, it is acceptable.
-
Manually adjust color sliders in Canvas display settings. Any changes made to the saturation or RGB settings should be reset. For guidance resetting color setting changes, see Modifying Canvas Display Settings.
To ensure the slider values are correctly set, change the Saturation slider to an extreme value (e.g., -300) and observe the color change on the Canvas. Then, set the slider back to zero and observe the canvas go back to normal. Repeat this for the remaining settings ('Red offset', 'Blue offset', 'Green offset').
NOTE: There can still be small differences between Spark models after the color tables have been reset. The RGB sliders can be utilized to correct these small differences and achieve a more uniform orchestration.
You can increase/decrease the sliders in increments of 10 until the color has been corrected.
