Provisioning is the process of connecting a new device to the Videri Cloud so it can receive content, schedules, and remote commands. Videri Ignite guides you through the complete provisioning process, with more detailed information on provisioning TCL devices provided below. If you are provisioning any other device, see Provisioning Devices Using Videri Ignite for further guidance. |
Before You Begin
Make sure to complete the following steps before provisioning your TCL device:
- Unbox and install your TCL device. Locate the remote. You will need it for provisioning.
- Download the Videri Ignite app to your smartphone.
- Ensure you have your Videri account credentials.
- During provisioning, you will need to connect the device to the internet. If using a wired connection for your device, be sure to connect the device via ethernet. If using a WiFi connection for your device, ensure that you have the necessary credentials.
Getting Started
The first portion of provisioning utilizes the included TCL remote.
To get started:
- Power on your TCL device using the included remote.
-
Wait for the 'Welcome to TCL Digital Signage' screen to display. Select the language that should be used for TCL-specific setup.
NOTE: Language selection applies only to the TCL portion of device setup. Language selection will not impact the Videri provisioning flow, which is only available in English as of May 2026. - On the 'Orientation' screen, select the orientation the screen is installed in.
-
On the 'Connect to internet' screen:
- If using a wired connection, select "Wired Connection" using the remote.
- If using a WiFi connection, select the network SSID from the list. Then, using the remote, enter the network password and select "Connect".
- On the 'Privacy & Agreements' screen, select "Accept".
-
On the 'Check for updates' screen, select "Check for updates". If an update is found, initiate the install. Wait for the device to update and restart before continuing to step 7.
WARNING: You MUST update the device for full functionality with the Videri Platform. - On the 'Select CMS' screen, select "Videri".
-
Select "Confirm" to launch Videri Embedded.
WARNING: Once confirmed, a factory reset is required to exit Videri Embedded.
Provisioning To The Videri Cloud
To provision a Videri Embedded TCL device using Videri Ignite:
- Open Videri Ignite and log in. For guidance, see Logging In & Getting Started With Videri Ignite.
On the Home Screen, tap "Set up a new device".
Tap "Get Started".
-
Select the target Workspace where the device should be provisioned and tap "Continue".
NOTE: If it is the first time you are provisioning a device, you'll be asked to enable Bluetooth and location sharing. You must enable these permissions in order to provision a device. For more information about permissions in Videri Ignite, see Logging In & Getting Started With Videri Ignite. -
The app will now search for nearby devices.
NOTE: Devices will appear on the "Nearby Devices" screen in order of their signal strength. Generally, devices that are closer to you have a stronger signal. If you are not seeing the device you want to provision, you may be too far from it. Move closer to the device and pull down on the screen to rescan for devices. If you are not seeing a previously provisioned device, it may have reprovisioning disabled or it may have already been provisioned to a different tenant. If reprovisioning is disabled, you will need to enable BLE from Portal3. See Enabling Reprovisioning for guidance. If the device belongs to another tenant, you will need to delete its profile from Portal3, or contact Videri Support to move the device for you. If all nearby devices are TCL devices, tap "Provision all nearby devices". Otherwise, tap "Select devices to provision". Devices will then display their serial number on-screen. Select the device(s) you want to provision and tap "Next" when finished.
Tap "Skip" on the network search screen.
Devices will now attempt to connect to the Videri Cloud.
Once all devices are connected, you will see a success screen and the post-provisioning checklist will be displayed. If you are an installer tasked with completing additional setup tasks—such as naming devices or configuring fallback networks—be sure to take those actions now, as they will no longer be available once leaving this screen. For further information, see Optional Post-Provisioning Setup.
