SIM Card Status Issues During Provisioning
If the “Use Cellular” button is disabled during provisioning, there may be a problem with your SIM card. Try these troubleshooting steps:
- If no SIM card is inserted, insert a SIM card.
- If a SIM card is inserted, ensure that it is inserted correctly and the latch used to secure the SIM card is locked in place. See the photos in Proper SIM Card Installation for guidance.
- If a SIM card is inserted, remove the SIM card and check for physical deformities. If no physical deformities exist, reinsert the SIM card. If physical deformities exist, obtain a new SIM card.
- Wait a few minutes and try again. The SIM card may be loading.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue and WiFi is available, provision the Canvas using WiFi. Then, log in to Portal3 to obtain more detailed information about SIM card status, as outlined in SIM Card Identification Issues.
