WARNING: APN settings can only be configured in the Mobile App for the purpose of provisioning. To add a new APN without connecting to the APN, use Portal3. See Adding a New APN Using Portal3 for guidance. |
To add a new APN using the Videri Mobile App:
- Log in to the Videri Mobile app using your Portal3 credentials.
- Select the target Workspace.
- Tap “Set up a Canvas”. The app will search for nearby Canvases.
- Select the target Canvas.
NOTE: To confirm Canvas ID, click on the icon next to the serial numbers in the ‘Nearby Canvases’ list. - Name the Canvas and click “Next”.
- Tap “Use Cellular”.
NOTE: If the “Use Cellular” button is disabled, the Canvas SIM card may not be inserted correctly or is missing. See SIM Card Status Issues During Provisioning below for more information. - Tap “See APN list”.
- Tap “Add new APN” at the bottom of the screen.
- Use the input fields to modify APN settings as needed. The following fields are available:

- emergency: emergency packet data network (PDN). Not an IA APN. Used for access to carrier services in an emergency call situation.
- mcx: mission critical services
- xcap: XML configuration access protocol traffic
- bip: bearer independent protocol traffic
- all: supports all of the above
MCC Mobile Country Code Numeric, must be 3 digits MNC Mobile Network Code Numeric, must be 2-3 digits APN name APN entry name String Username Used for authenticating the connection. Required if “Auth type” protocol is selected, see below. String Password Password associated with username, used for authenticating the connection. Roaming protocol Protocol to use to connect to this APN when roaming. Defaults to “IP”. Dropdown, available values: - IP: IPv4 protocol

- IPV4V6: Dual IP stack UE capability
- To connect to the new APN, click “Connect”.
