Configuring EAP Authentication During Device Provisioning

Before You Begin

Make sure to complete the following steps before provisioning your Canvas:

1. Unbox and install your V-Series or Spark Canvas, following the instructions in the relevant V-Series Installation Guide of the Spark Series Installation Guide, respectively.
2. Download the Videri Mobile App to your smartphone, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
3. Ensure you have a Portal3 user name and password. If you do not have login credentials for Portal3, contact your organization admin.

Provisioning Your Canvas With EAP Authentication

To provision a Canvas using the Videri Mobile App:

1. Open the Videri Mobile App.

2. Enter your email address and password on the starting screen, and tap "Login". 

   NOTE: If you have access to multiple tenants, you'll be asked to select a tenant on the next screen.

3. Select the target Workspace.
4. Tap “Set up a Canvas”. The app will search for nearby Canvases.

5. Select the target Canvas.

   NOTE: To confirm Canvas ID, click on the icon next to the serial numbers in the ‘Nearby Canvases’ list.

6. Name the Canvas and tap “Next”.
7. Tap "Search for Nearby Networks".
8. Select the target network and tap "Advanced Network Settings".
9. Tap the 'Security type' field to see a list of available configurations and tap "EAP" to select it from the list. Additional options will now be shown.
10. In the 'Password' field, enter the password for the target account.
11. Ensure that the correct EAP method is selected in the 'Select EAP Method' field. To change the EAP method, tap on the field to see a list of options.
12. Ensure that the correct Phase 2 method is selected in the 'Select Phase 2 Method' field. To change the Phase 2 method, tap on the field to see a list of options. 
13. In the 'Enter an identity' field, enter the target account username.
14. Tap "Next" once all the required fields are filled.
15. Tap "Next" again. The Canvas will now attempt to establish a connection to the Videri Cloud.
16. After a few minutes, the success screen will show. To display temporary content, tap “Show me something”. Otherwise, tap “Complete setup”.
